The "MIT Geodetic Observatory" is an 1899 historic site located within the borders of Malden, Massachusetts, in the Middlesex Fells Reservation.
You can read more about it in this 60-page document. Since we first wrote about this site, the DCR has now added trail signs making the location much easier to find.
